Commute by Transit
Transit Services
The St. George Campus is served by two subway lines and several buses and streetcars. Trip planning can be done on the TTC’s website or on Google Maps (which allows for trips to be mapped across the TTC, GO Transit, York Region, and others).
Service runs on most routes from 6am (9am on Sundays) until about 1am. [Fares] [Schedules: Bloor-Danforth | University-Spadina | 5 Avenue Rd | 6 Bay | 26 Dupont | 94 Wellesley | 127 Davenport | 142 Avenue Rd Express | 506 Carleton | 510 Spadina] [Service Advisories]
Student Metropass
Students enrolled full-time or part-time at the University of Toronto (and other post-secondary institutions) are eligible for a discounted Metropass. Metropasses are on sale at all TTC Collector Booths, and at the U.T.S.U. office. Passes are typically on sale during the first and last weeks of the month.
The discounted TTC Metropass is $99/month.
To purchase and use a Post-Secondary Student Metropass, you require a TTC Student ID, available at Sherbourne Station. See this page at the TTC for details.
All-Night Transit Service
The TTC operates all-night service along most major streets in Toronto. The areas around campus are well served by 24-hour buses. Fares are the same as during daytime service. When looking at the TTC’s schedules, any bus or streetcar route in the 300-series (e.g., 300 BLOOR, 306 CARLTON) is a night bus/streetcar.
